Is massage laxury?
Some massages can be laxury, but there are a lot of health benefits to massage that go well beyond a day at the spa on your birthday. My massage space is simply designed for individuals who have various goals such as sleep quality improvement, pain management, and "me-time" for busy mothers. Some of my clients come and see me weekly, others every other week, or once a month. Massage therapy does not need to be laxuary. Here are benefits you can expect from receiving a massage regularly.
What does regular massage therapy do to your body?
boosts immune system
Massage helps in building protective cells in the body to neutralize attackers like cancer and viral infections, that also leads to a faster recovery of illness.
Massage sessions can play an important role in reducing anxiety. People who suffer from PTSD or depression can have benefits from regular massage therapy. Massage therapists are happy to create a safe space for you.

A massage session after a long hectic day is sufficient to eliminate the exhaustion in your body and promotes a good night's sleep and rejuvenate your body.

Massage therapy helps improve blood circulation and decreasing blood pressure. Blood vessels become dilated as a result of the reflex action of massage therapy, which in turn reduces blood pressure.

During a massage therapy, parasympathetic nervous system becomes dominant, and it helps nervous systems to function normally. Some good signs of relaxation during a massage are; tearing, or your stomach making noises.
Migraines, stiffness of neck and shoulder, lower back pain are commonly treated by massage. Massage therapy is also recommended by physicians and surgeons to their patients suffering from pain.
Regular massage therapy keeps muscles loose and relaxed, giving joints greater freedome to move. Relaxed, pain free muscles allow your body to position themselves in a more natural, correct posture.
Regular massage therapy can result in an impressive glow on your skin. This is one of the most effective approaches to take a proper care of your skin. I personally use organic plant oil, gel, and essential oil during my massage sessions.

Your safety is important. If you currently have a medical treatment, we need a document of approval from your doctor. Sharing the medical history such as surgeries, injuries, chronic pains, illnesses, or allergies with your massage therapist is also important for better understanding of your body.
emotional block and physical pain
Finally, physical pain can lead to an emotional block which is not expressed through emotion. Not all pains can be explained by anatomy. Pain such as migranes, stomach aches, chest pain, sciatica, neck pain, and lower back pain can be responses from our emotional difficulties. Giving yourself time to process naturally is efficient. And massage therapists are here to support your healing journey.
